Summer activities

Savour the Summer in beautiful Carinthia, the southernmost state of Austria. The central location of the guesthouse Fischinger means that you can enjoy hiking and bathing on your holiday as well as going shopping in the nearby towns of Feldkirchen, Klagenfurt, St. Veit an der Glan and Villach. If you enjoy sport, you will appreciate the tennis courts, golf courses and stables which are all located close to the guesthouse.

You can also go walking straight from the guesthouse thanks to the various hiking trails in the area. Joggers and hikers will also be impressed with the various footpaths, some of which weave their way through the woods. If you fancy a more challenging trail, we recommend the Gerlitze, Hochrindl, Turracher Höhe, Nockbergs and Karawanken mountains.

The municipality of Feldkirchen has also set up lots of stations throughout the Feldkirchen – Lake Ossiach region where bikes can be hired as part of the ‘From the mountains to the lakes’ scheme.  Numerous destination can also be visited free-of-charge or at a discount with the Carinthia Card.
